Comments: A stylus and writing tablet, the oldest known record of a commercial transaction in the City of London. It's dated 8 January 57. The black wax it originally held is gone, but the writer left marks in the wood which can be read. The writer, Tibullus the freedman of Venustus, writes that he owes Gratus the freedman of Spurius 105 denarii in exchange for merchandise. On display at the London Mithraeum.
