Ruth 2:18-23
Like a lonely flower, fragrant in the midst of weedy growth, is this little story of Ruth; like a gleam of clear shining in the dark, stumbly night; like sweet love, tender and pure and true, flanked by hating and fighting and intrigue. We’re needing more Ruths in the Bible of daily life; more being true and pure and fragrantly, wholesomely loving in the commonplace rounds and relationships. It’s the finest telling of the God-story, the gospel.
