Verses 1-9

Psalms 113:0

Psalms 113:6 Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

Psalms 113:6 Comments - In humbling himself, God went beyond just observing man. He sent His Son to die in the place of sinful man (Philippians 2:5-8).

Philippians 2:5-8, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”

Psalms 113:7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

Psalms 113:7 Scripture References - Note a similar verse in the prayer of Hannah:

1 Samuel 2:8, “ He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill , to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them.”
