Ezekiel 35

Verses 1-15

2. EDOM FALLS DOWN GOES BOOM! (35)
   1. ​​​​​​​Edom’s destruction was foretold in ch.25.
   2. Mount Seir = mountain range in Jordan, from southern end of Dead Sea to the Gulf of Aqaba.
      1. Territory inhabited by Edomites. (Descendants of Esau)
   3. Judged for: [1] Enduring hostility toward Israel [2] Because Edom assisted Nebuchadnezzar when he destroyed Jerusalem [3] And they coveted the land of Israel & Judah (10,11)
      1. Why did they fail? – Because the Lord was there!!!
      2. Jehovah Shammah! – See last vs. in Ezek.
      3. How will we withstand Satan’s hellish bullets? cuz the Lord is there! When life’s waves pound us? Know, the Lord is there! When we come to die we shall find…the Lord is there!
   4. Edom ceased to exist after ad 70.
   5. (15) Then they shall know that I am the Lord – Seems like God only allows man to know Him by either Judgment, or Grace! (you pic!)
   6. Contrast now - Mount Seir vs. Mountains of Israel.
