2. in bad sense, soft, weak, ὡς ἁ. καὶ λευκὸς [οἶνος ] Cratin. 183; λευκός, ἐξυρημένος, γυναικόφωνος, ἁ. Ar. Th. 192. [ ᾰπᾰλος; for καλάμῳ.. ὑπᾱπάλῳ, in Theoc. 28.4, is corrupt.]
