עֻגָה and עֻגָּה (1 Kings 19:6; Ezekiel 4:12), fem. a cake baked under hot cinders, such as the Orientals are still accustomed to make, especially when on a journey, or in haste; see Rosenm. Morgenland, i. p. 69; עֻגַּת רְצָפִים a cake baked on hot stones, 1 Kings 19:6 עֻגּוֹת מַצוֹת unleavened cakes, Exodus 12:39. (Arab. عُجَّةُ a cake made with eggs, baked in a pan).
