Qal Imperfect 3 masculine singular יִשְׂמֹּק 1 Kings 20:10, subject dust, with לְ of thing.
שָׂפַק i.q. סָפַק No. I, to strike (see שֶׂפֶק ), specially, to clap the hands, Job 27:23 according to several MSS. (others ספק).
Hiphil, to strike a covenant, to make an agreement, either because it was customary to strike the hands together and join them in making a covenant, or from the primary signification of striking (comp. פָּגַע No. 2). Isaiah 2:6, בְּיַלְדֵי נָכְרִים יַשְׂפִּיקוּ “they make leagues with the children of strangers.”

שָׂפַק i.q. כָפַק No. II (which see), to be redundant, to abound. Syr. ܣܦܰܩ, 1 Kings 20:10 see סֶפֶק.
