Pi`el Imperfect יְנַקֵּשׁ Psalm 109:11 let the creditor strike at, take aim at (ל); 3 masculine plural וַיְנַקְּשׁוּ Psalm 38:13 (absolute).

נָקַשׁ i.q. יָקשׁ (yakosh) and קוֹשׁ to lay snares, Psalms 9:17, בְּפֹעַל כַּפָּיו נוֹקֵשׁ רָשָׁע “with the work of his own hands the wicked lays snares,” sc. for himself. [In Thes. intrans.; and the rendering given to this passage is, “the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands.”]
