(1) vexation, grief. Ecclesiastes 1:18, 2:23 11:10 Proverbs 17:25, 21:19, אֵשֶׁת מִדְוָנִים וָכָֽעַס “a contentious and morose woman.”
(2) anger. Deuteronomy 32:19; Ezekiel 20:28, pl. כְּעָסִים angers [provocations]; 2 Kings 23:26.
