BGU II 665ii. 19 (i/A.D.) . . The word, accordingly, notwithstanding Hort’s attempt (on James 1:15) to apply it specially to cases of abnormal birth, would seem to have been an ordinary synonym of τίκτω, but definitely ";perfectivized"; by the ἀπό, and so implying delivery. For the simplex cf. Syll 797.5 (ii/B.C.)
