For the gen. constr. after this negative adj. in James 1:18 ὁ γὰρ θεὸς ἀπείραστός ἐστιν κακῶν, cf. P Tebt I. 124.26 (c. B.C. 118), where certain allotments are described as ἀσυκοφαντή (τους) καὶ ἀδιστάστους ὄντας πάσης αἰ [τ ]ίας, ";subject to no dispute or question on any ground"; (Edd.). The citation may also help to support the neuter sense which Hort assigns to ἀπείραστος in the NT passage. For similar gen. construction with negative adjectives numerous passages may be quoted : cf. Proleg. p. 235 f.
