2. in hostile sense, make a sally, πρός τι X. Cyr. 5.4.47 .

3. of things, happen to one, τινι D.S. 13.37 codd.; προστρέχει πολλαχοῦ τὸ γίγνεται "" occurs frequently, Dam. Pr. 401 .

II metaph., join or side with, [ τῇ συγκλήτῳ ] Plb. 24.10.4, etc.; πρὸς τὴν τῶν πολλῶν γνώμην Id. 28.7.8; πρὸς τὴν ἀλήθειαν Id. 18.15.2 .

(= I. p. 91) βύσσινον ῥάκος, ib..359 (= p. 96) ῥάκος λινοῦν. See also Apoc. Petr. 15 ἄνδρες ῥάκη ῥυπαρὰ ἐνδεδύμενοι (cf. James 2:2). In Artem. p. 18.8 the word is used of mummy wrappings—οἱ ἀποθανόντες ἐσχισμένοις ἐνειλοῦνται ῥάκεσι.
