from what country?: hence, generally, whence? where born? Hdt. 7.218 (as v.l.), A. Ch. 575, S. OC 1160, E. Cyc. 276, etc.; τίς καὶ π.; Pl. Revelation 20:1-15 b; π. τὸ γένος; Ar. Pax 186, cf. Av. 108; of wine, π. ὁ Βρόμιος; Θάσιος Alex. 230 .

ποταπός ((in Dionysius Halicarnassus, Josephus, Philo, others) for the older ποδαπός (cf. Lob. Phryn., p. 56f; Rutherford, New Phryn., p. 129; Winers Grammar, 24; Curtius, p. 537, 5th edition); according to the Greek grammarians equivalent to ἐκ ποίου δαπεδου, from what region; according to the conjecture of others equivalent to ποῦ ἀπό ((Buttmann, Lexil. 1:126, compares the German wovon)), the delta δ' being inserted for the sake of euphony, as in the Latinprodire, prodesse; cf. Fritzsche on Mark, p. 554f (still others regard (δαπος merely as an ending; cf. Apollonius Dyscolus, Buttmann's edition, the index under the word)), ποταπή, ποταπον;

προσάγω is used in the general sense of ";bring"; in such passages as PSI IV. 435.13 (B.C. 258–7) ὃς ἐνεχείρησεν οἰκοδομεῖν Σαραπιεῖον. . καὶ προσαγηγόχει (for form, see Mayser Gr, P. 338) λίθους, P Magd 27.4 (B.C. 218) πλίνθον προσ [ά ]γων καὶ θεμέλιον σκάπτων.
From this it is an easy step to the meaning ";collect,"; ";add";; e.g. P Tebt I. 58.20 (B.C. 111) ὑποσχνούμενος (l. ὑπισχνουμένου) προσάξι (= ει)ν ἀπὸ παντὸς εἴδους (πυροῦ) υ ̄, ";undertaking to collect from every class 400 artabae of wheat more"; (Edd.), P Oxy II. 267.9 (A.D. 36) αἷς (δραχμαῖς) οὐδὲν τῶι καθόλου προσῆκται, ";to which nothing at all has been added"; (Edd.), and P Ryl II. 99.7 (iii/A.D.) ᾧ προσάγω ὑπ (ὲρ) ἐπιθέματος, ";to which I add as a further charge"; (Edd.).
The verb is common = ";present,"; ";introduce,"; as in P Ryl II. 75.3 (judicial proceedings—late ii/A.D.) προσαχθέντων Γλύκωνος Διονυσίου καὶ Ἀπολλωνίου Γλύκωνος, similarly .14, .23 P Tebt II. 292.27 (A.D. 189–190) Κρονίων. . νυνεὶ ἐν Ἀλεξανδρείᾳ τυγχάνων προσάξι (= ει) τῷ κρα (τίστῳ) ἀρχιερεῖ, ";Cronion, who now happens to be in Alexandria, will bring them before his highness the high priest"; (Edd.), P Oxy I. 71i. 3 (A.D. 303) τὴν ἱκ [ετ ]ηρίαν προσάγω εὔελπις, ";I present my supplication with full confidence,"; and from the inscrr. OGIS 519.12 (c. A.D. 245) τήνδε τὴν ἱκετεί [αν ὑ ]μεῖν προσάγομεν : cf. Acts 16:20, 1 Peter 3:18.
For the intrans. use of προσάγω = ";approach,"; ";draw near,"; as in Acts 27:27א Ἁπροσάγειν τινὰ αὐτοῖς χώραν, ";that some land was drawing near to them,"; cf. Plut. Cic. v. 2 οὐκ ἠρέμα τῷ πρωτείῳ προσῆγεν, ";he did not advance slowly to the primacy.";
