Ἁγιότης, as a title, is found in the late P Giss I. 55.5 (vi/A.D.) addressed by one ";papa"; or ";bishop"; to another—ἠξιώθην. . . γράψαι πρ [ὸ ]ς τὴν σὴν ἁγιότητ ̣[α ]. For a similar use of ἡ ἁγιωσύνη with reference to an ἐπίσκοπος, see the Pelagia-Legenden (ed. Usener) p. 10.2, cf. p. 8.11. On the ";profane"; warrant for ἁγιωσύνη, and the naturalness of coining (with ἱερ (ε)ωσύνη for model), see the remarks on ἀγαθωσύνη above.
