P Oxy VII. 1033.15 (A.D. 392) ὡς προείπαμεν, ";as aforesaid"; (Ed.), and the Christian letter of a slave to his master regarding the illness of his mistress—P Oxy VI. 939.25 (iv/A.D.) ἔδοξεν μὲν γὰρ ὡς προεῖπον ἀνεκτότερον ἐσχηκέναι ἀνακαθεσ ̣θ ̣εῖσα, ";for she seems, as I said before, to be in a more tolerable state, in that she has sat up"; (cf. Luke 7:15). Cf. from the inscrr. Syll 239 (= .3 543).38 (B.C. 214) τοῖς μέντοι κατηγορεῖν τούτων μέλλουσιν προείπατε, ὅπως μὴ φανῶσιν κτλ., and Kaibel 947.10 καὶ [σεμνῶ ]ν εἰμ [ι ] προφήτης ὧν γε προεῖπα θεῶν. See s.v. προλέγω.
