Vocabulary of the Greek NT

In Kaibel 1103.3 πανοῦργος is found as an epithet of Eros. The editor renders it veterator, ";crafty"; : cf. 2 Corinthians 12:16, the only occurrence of the adj. in the NT. P Lond 46.73 (iv/A.D.) (= I. p. 67) shows πανουργικὸν ξύλον in a spell for discovering a thief. Πανοῦργος is formed on the analogy of κακοῦργος <κακο -ϝ εργος (Boisacq s.v. πᾶς, p. 748).
