P Oxy II. 237vi. 22 (A.D. 186) ὧτα παρέχω ἄνοα αὐτῷ, ";I turned a deaf ear to him"; (Edd.) : cf. Acts 7:57 συνέσχον τὰ ὦτα αὐτῶν. In a magic spell for procuring the public appearance of a deity P Lond 121.329 (iii/A.D.) (= I. p. 95) ἄνοιξόν μου τὰ ὦτα ἵνα μοι χρηματίσῃς περὶ ὧν σε ἀξιῶ ἵνα ἀποκριθῇ μοι. See further s.v. ὠτίον.
