For the description of Μελχισεδέκ as ἀπάτωρ, ἀμήτωρ, in Hebrews 7:8, see the reff. under these words, and add PSI V. 450.50 (ii/iii A.D.) (with note), ib. 458.5 (A.D. 155). The name is never spelt in Greek with ζ either in the Old or in the New Testament (Burkitt, Syriac Forms, p. 28).
