For the ordinary use of ἡμ. with a subst. cf. P Tebt I. 27.81 (B.C. 113) κατὰ τὴν ἡμετέραν πρόθεσιν, ib. II. 326.4 (c. A.D. 266) ὁ γὰρ ἡμέτερος ἀνὴρ. . ἀδιάθετος ἐτελεύτα τὸν βίον, ";for my husband died intestate,"; P Oxy VII. 1056.3 (A.D. 360) τῷ ἡμετέρῳ ὀνόματι, ";on my account."; In P Flor III. 309.2 f (iv/A.D.) ἡμ. is used interchangeably with μου —τῇ ἡμετέρᾳ [συμ ]βίῳ κ ̣αὶ τῇ παρθένῳ μου θυγατρί. A letter of introduction, P Oxy IV. 787 (A.D. 16), runs—ὡς ἔστιν ἡμέτερος (cf. Titus 3:14). ἐρωτῶ σε οὖν ἔχειν αὐτὸν συνεσταμένον κτλ. In P Oxy I. 37i .16. (A.D. 49) (= Selections, p. 50) εἰς τὴν τοῦ ἡμετέρου [ο ]ἰκίαν = ";into the house of our client,"; and in P Ryl II. 114.18 (c. A.D. 280) we have τὰ ἡμέτερα = ";my property,"; cf. Luke 16:12. A good parallel to the use of οἱ ἡμέτεροι in Titus 3:14 is afforded by Chrest. I. 16.7 (time of Trajan) where the writer complains that in a Jewish uprising οἱ ἡμέ [τ ]ερο [ι ] ἡττ [ή ]θησαν.
