For this common verb = ";give orders,"; ";charge,"; it is sufficient to cite P Grenf I. 30.3 (B.C. 103) οἶς καὶ ἐντετάλμεθ [α ] ἀσπάσεσθαι ὑμᾶς παρ᾽ ἡμῶν φιλοφρόνως, P Tebt I. 37.11 (B.C. 73) ἐν ̣τέταλταί μοι παραλαβὼν στρατιώτας ἐκπορθῆσαι αὐτούς, P Ryl II. 229.5 (A.D. 38) Ὠφελίωνι ἐνετειλάμην ἵνα καὶ αὐτὸς δοῖ ἑτέραν (sc. ὄνον), ib. 241.10 (iii/A.D.) περὶ ὧν σοι ἐνετίλατο Σ. The later juristic usage = ";invest one with legal powers,"; is discussed by Mitteis Papyruskunde, p. 261, and Wenger Stellvertretung, p. 105.
