Vocabulary of the Greek NT

Grimm’s statement that this NT ἅπ. εἰρ. (2 Corinthians 8:15 from LXX Exodus 16:18) is ";not found in prof. auth."; requires correction, in view not only of Aristot. de plant. 2, 3 p. 825a, 23 (as Thayer), but of P Magd 26.12 (B.C. 217) ἐπαναγκάσαι αὐτὸν ἀπο ̣δ ̣ο ̣υ ̣̑να ̣ι ̣ . . .. τὸ διάφορον τῶν ἐλαττονούντων ιδ ̄ κεραμίων, cf. .9, and the illiterate BGU IV. 1195.19 (c. B.C. 10) ἐλατωνῖ, apparently = ἐλαττονεῖ.
