A.D. 70–80) ὅτι ὁ υἱός μου ἀσθενῖ δινῶς , P Oxy VIII. 1161.8 (iv/A.D.—Christian) ταῦτα δέ σοι ἔγραψα νοσοῦσα , δ [ιν ]ῶς ἔχουσα , πάνυ μὴ δυναμένη ἀναστῆναι ἐκ τῆς κοίτης μου , ὅτι πάνυ δινῶς ἔχω , Syll 802.114 (Epidaurus—iii/B.C.) οὗτος τὸ [ν ] τοῦ ποδὸς δα ̣κτυλον ὑπὸ τοῦ (Ed. ὑπό του ) ἀγρίου ἕλκεος δεινῶς διακείμ [εν ]ος . For adj. cf. BGU I. 163.9 (A.D. 108) οὐδὲν δεινὸν ἐγέν [ετο , and from the inscriptions Syll 567.7 (ii/A.D.) μηδὲν αὑτοῖς δεινὸν συνειδότας . Preisigke 4282, a dedication in Latin and Greek of an altar in honour of Hadrian, by a general named Serenus, who had annihilated ";Agriophagos nequissimos,"; renders this last word by δει [νοτάτους ].
