Or. 2.63b, 65c: freq. in LXX of idols, Isaiah 2:18, al.; φλὸξ χ. a fire intentionally kindled, opp. ἀπὸ ταὐτομάτου, Th. 2.77; so λιμός, opp. αὐτόματος, Procop. Arc. 26; ἀνάγκη, τέχνη, Id.
