";the day before the Sabbath,"; in NT only Mark 15:42, where it is an explanation of παρασκευή for the benefit of non-Jewish readers. The word occurs in Judith 8:6, and in the titles of Psalms 92:1-15 [MT Psalms 91:1-16] א, Psalms 92:1-15 [MT Psalms 93:1-5] אB.
