1. not to be repented of or regretted, ἡδονή Pl. Ti. 59d; τὸ πεπραγμένον αὐτοῖς ἀ. γίγνεται Id. Lg. 866e; ἀμεταμέλητον ἐστί τί τινι one has nothing to repent of, Plb. 21.11.11.

2. having no opportunity of repentance, Just. Nov. 129.3.

II of persons, unrepentant, feeling no remorse, ἀ. ἀνίατος Arist. EN 1150a22, 1166a29. Adv. -τως Them. Or. 19.231a, Inscr.Prien. 114.

ἀμεταμέλητος, (μεταμέλομαι, μεταμέλει), not repented of, unregretted: Romans 11:29; σωτηρία, by litotes, salvation affording supreme joy, 2 Corinthians 7:10 (others connect it with μετάνοιαν). (Plato, Polybius, Plutarch.)
