Spanish traveler of the fourteenth century; lived first at Barcelona, but settled in Majorca after having made a tour of the known world. A year and a half later the representatives of the Aljama demanded that he should contribute his share to the tax of 18,000 livres which had been laid upon that body eight years previously. Faquin protested against the unjust and unreasonable demand in a petition which he presented to King James II. of Majorca (March 20, 1334), whereupon the king commissioned the royal procurators to examine the case carefully.
