1910 New Catholic Dictionary
Martyr. Died in 1537 in Newgate prison, London. Carthusian lay brother. Imprisoned for refusing the Oath of Supremacy, and starved to death along with Thomas Johnson and the other Carthusians. Beatified in 1886.
