The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments.

Psalm 111:10

The only way to become truly wise is to reverence God. If God is not acknowledged as the source of wisdom, then the foundation for making wise decisions cannot be laid, and we are doomed to mistakes and foolish choices. Remember that the foundation for growing in wisdom is to recognize that God is the source of wisdom and that obeying his laws is the path to wisdom.
