Then Judah said to his daughter-in-law Tamar, "(C1)Remain a widow in your father's house until my son Shelah grows up"; for he (F1)thought, "I am afraid that he too may die like his brothers." So Tamar went and lived in her father's house.

Now it was about three months later that Judah was (F1)informed, "Your daughter-in-law Tamar has prostituted herself, and behold, she is also pregnant by prostitution." Then Judah said, "Bring her out and (C1)have her burned!"
