19 Why R135 the Law then? It was added because F60 of transgressions, having been ordained R136 through angels by R137 the agency F61 of a mediator, until the R138 seed would come to whom the promise had been made. 20 Now a R139 mediator is not for F62 one party only; whereas God is only one. 21 Is the Law then contrary to the promises of God? May R140 it never be! For if R141 a law had been given which was able to impart life, then righteousness would F63 indeed have been based F64 on law. 22 But the Scripture has shut R142 up everyone F65 under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. 23 But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, being R143 shut up to the faith which was later to be revealed. 24 Therefore the Law has become our tutor R144 to lead us to Christ, so that we R145 may be justified by faith. 25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. R146F6626 For you are all sons R147 of God through faith in Christ R148 Jesus. 27 For all of you who were baptized R149 into Christ have clothed R150 yourselves with Christ. 28 There R151 is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither F67 male nor female; for you R152 are all one in Christ R153 Jesus. 29 And if you R154 belong F68 to Christ, then you are Abraham's descendants, F69 heirs according to promise.
