Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.

For I ^(C1)was overjoyed when ^(C2)brothers came and testified to your truth, that is, how you ^(C1)are walking in truth.

I have no greater joy than ^(F1)this, to hear of ^(C1)my children ^(C2)walking in the truth.

Beloved, you are acting faithfully in whatever you accomplish for the ^(C1)brothers and sisters, and ^(F1)especially when they are ^(C2)strangers;

and they have testified to your love before the church. You will do well to ^(F1)(C1)send them on their way in a manner ^(C2)worthy of God.

For they went out for the sake of ^(C1)the Name, ^(C2)accepting nothing from the Gentiles.

Therefore we ought to ^(F1)support such people, so that we may ^(F2)prove to be fellow workers ^(F3)with the truth.

I wrote something to the church; but Diotrephes, who loves to ^(C1)be first among them, does not accept ^(F1)what we say.

For this reason, ^(C1)if I come, I will call attention to his deeds which he does, unjustly accusing us with malicious words; and not satisfied with this, he himself does not ^(C2)receive the ^(C3)brothers either, and he forbids those who want to do so and ^(C4)puts them out of the church.

Beloved, ^(C1)do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. ^(C2)The one who does what is good is of God; ^(C3)the one who does what is evil has not seen God.

Demetrius ^(C1)has received a good testimony from everyone, and from the truth itself; and we testify too, and ^(C2)you know that our testimony is true.

^(C1)I had many things to write to you, but I do not want to write to you with pen and ink;

but I hope to see you shortly, and we will speak ^(F1)face to face.
