1:1 seat (a-27) Or 'in the company.'
Verse 1
27:1 afraid? (e-28) 'Fear' and 'be afraid' are nearly the same, but it seems that the latter is more 'terror,' even used of Jehovah. see 1 Samuel 11:7 ; Psalms 36:1 ; 'fear' more in a godly sense, as Proverbs 1:7 , yet ver. 3 here does mean simple 'fear.'

27:2 enemies, (f-7) See Notes, Psalms 8:2 .
Verse 4
27:4 beauty (g-31) Or 'graciousness,' and so in Psalms 90:17 .
Verse 10
27:10 up. (a-15) Or 'For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but Jehovah hath gathered me.'
Verse 11
27:11 enemies. (b-16) Or 'those that lie in wait for me.'
Verse 14
27:14 courage. (c-11) Or 'he will strengthen thy heart.'
